Welcome to Guitar Trainer

Hi Again,

First thing first, Why do you want to learn guitar ?

1. To become a professional Guitar Player to play with some bands or
2. Just as a hobby to play some songs in free time from your primary work.

These two questions will decide how well and how fast you want to learn guitar.

If you have just seen someone playing guitar fluently and easily then you may think that its pretty easy and requires not much work to learn it.

I don't like to disappoint you but nothing comes easy in case if you want to learn something. To get expertise in any thing you want to learn depends on how well and how much you practice. This is true in case of learning guitar as well. And this will prove if you just want to learn guitar as a hobby or you want to be a professional Guitar player.

So here are the key points to learn guitar and read the points below to see if can follow them. If you cannot follow them then probably guitar is not built for you or you have just bought guitar out of fantasy. And to worse, it will be hanging on your wall as a show piece. But if you are serious then make sure you follow these points religiously

1. Learn the basics first.

2. Practice daily

3. Use a metronome while practice

4. Try to sing along. This will be added advantage and will help you to learn guitar faster if  you have little bit knowledge of music and notes

5. Again, Practice, Practice and Practice same note, same chord, same scale or same song a lot until you master it.......no compromise. The guitar player you see playing guitar smoothly is not a day work but a result of extreme perseverance.

6. Don't loose focus.

7. Have lot of patience, you will need it. There will be times when you yourself feel that guitar is not made for you but trust me, this period of disappointment goes out automatically if you stick to your practice.

8. Take one piece at a time and practice. Don't jump on learning multiple things at a time. You will confuse yourself and will get "TANGLED".Though you will still learn to play guitar but it will considerably take a lot of time.

9. Once in a week, go to your friend's home or call him at your place who knows how to play guitar and do a jamming session with him. Trust me, it builds a lot of confidence.

10. Once you have learned something, try to play it with metronome and record it and then listen it. You will yourself find the mistakes and will know where you have to improve.

So, these are the points that you need to follow and trust me, you will soon find your self playing guitar with confidence.
